May 4th, 2009

Okey dokey, as promised, I’m back with photos and more details :o)

So as you can see, I have 5 beautiful Auriel nappies available.

All are AIOs, with microfleece inner and bamboo/cotton boosters with BKT as the hidden soaker layers in the body of the nappy. The top two in the photo are Size 2 nappies - the one on the left is a pink/chocolate blur poly PUL outer, the one on the right is a rainbow swirl minkee PUL. The bottom three are Size 1 nappies - the cupcakes and lollipops nappy on the left and the flower nappy in the centre are both cotton or poly/cotton knit PUL, the one on the right is a tie-dye poly PUL. Mostly catering for the girls this time round, but there will potentially be other Cherub’s Kiss nappies (including HoneyBoy!s I think) arriving at some stage in the not too distant future…

The question of how to actually make these nappies available has been perplexing me ever since I got them from the lovely Lesley! Having first-hand experience of what it’s like at an online stocking, the vision of a similar crowd IRL scared me a little! Luckily the ladies at our last unofficial Nappies Anonymous gathering had a brilliant idea for me! (thanks Cel! ;) )

The nappies will be available for sale this coming Thursday, 7th May 2009 at 10.30am (give or take a few seconds cos I’m not the most punctual person around!) The shop opens at 10am, and each person who would like to purchase one of the nappies will be given a raffle ticket when they arrive. At 10.30am we will start drawing numbers out of a hat - as each number is drawn, that person will be able to choose to purchase from the nappies available. At this stage I anticipate that there will be a 1 nappy per customer limit, but if there are any leftover at the end, then double-dipping should be fine!

Hopefully this will make it a less frenzied stocking than most!

If you have suggestions for how to go about any future stockings, please feel free to leave suggestions in the comments section!

Hopefully see lots of you on Thursday morning!

May 4th, 2009

I’ll be back later on tonight to add more details, but mark this Thursday 7th of May 2009 in your diary, I have some very special nappies available for purchase.
(yes, the very badly kept secret that I have some Cherub’s Kiss Auriels here!)

The shop will also be hosting a get-together on the same day for the Australian Nappy Network - the first in a series of ongoing regular meet-ups here on the southside of Brisbane. Fondly dubbed “Nappies Anonymous” by attendees of previous unofficial gatherings, it’s a great opportunity to catch up with other cloth nappy users new and old.

anyway, back later with more details! (and pics of the nappies)

March 26th, 2008

By Lesley from Cherub’s Kiss and I’ve only just found out about it when I was reading her blog tonight! I really should keep up with things better!!

OK, so apparantly these are the rules:
1. Link to your tagger and post these rules on your blog
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some weird.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they are tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

Seven facts about me.

1. I never wear shoes. Honestly, ask anyone who knows me!

2. I used to have black and green hair. It’s boring brown now, and has been for ages, but one of these days I’ll get around to doing something exciting with it again!

3. I hate housework. Especially having to do the same things over and over again day after day because they don’t just stay done, dammit!!

4. I love reading, but since my internet addiction took over, I haven’t had as much time to read lately!

5.  I changed the spelling of my name when I was a teenager. The teachers at highschool used to joke about taking off marks on exams for spelling my name wrong (haha, sooo not funny!) but I eventually did it officially by deed poll when I was 18. Why bother? Well, when I was at primary school there were 2 Rebecca’s in my class. (under 30 kids in the class) At highschool, there were 5 Rebecca’s in my year level (out of about 75 girls). I just wanted to be different (yep, that’s a recurring theme in my life!) so I changed it to Rebekah. And yes, I’ve spent the last 14 years correcting people when they spell it wrong!

6. I studied music at university for a couple of years, but never actually finished the degree. :(

7. I’m missing a tooth - one of the ones between the front teeth and the pointy teeth. (ok I know it’s probably got a real name, but I’m too lazy to Google it!)

So there you have it, 7 things about me.

And now I have to come up with 7 other people to tag, which is way too hard for this time of night! So I’m going to post what I’ve written so far, and update the post once I think of some people to tag!
