I’ve been a bit slack with updating the blog this month, although I did finally finish the one about our holiday!
In the last couple of weeks, my darling children have been displaying a disturbing tendency to want to incapacitate me! First Ben dropped a heavy stool on my foot, which meant a few days where standing up to cut fabric (or do anything else remotely useful) was just not possible!
Then Rhiannon tried to knock me out with the door to the toilet(!!) and while I avoided a black eye by getting my hands up in time to catch it before it slammed into my head, my right hand took the brunt of the force and the edge of the door hit across the heel of my hand and the edge of the pinkie finger knuckle. Being right-handed, that meant a good 4-5 days where I couldn’t hold scissors or a rotary cutter, so that delayed cutting even further! It also made cooking dinner and other simple day to day tasks difficult! You have no idea how much you use your thumb until moving it hurts! I have to say, 47kg of daughter is a formidable force when it runs into a door!
So I’m hoping that this particular turn of events doesn’t run in threes, and that I will be fully functional for the rest of the month so that I can catch up on orders and life in general!
I tried taking some photos, but the bruising just didn’t look as impressive when it was in a blurry photo, so I won’t be boring you with those afterall! I will however show you what happens when Mr Benjamin decides that he’s going to dish up his own dessert! (yes, I think it was pretty much the whole tub in there!)
